I captured these shimmering lights on the surface of the lake at Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia one sunny afternoon. But, since my iPhone couldn't handle the brightness well, it made the water, which was not the brightest area in the image, much darker than it actually was. Thus, after having fun editing, exporting, reimporting and reediting the footage, I realized it looked much more like "Moon" light in the ocean at night. My wife, confirmed this was the an accurate assumption to make. So, I added a 1 minutes audio recording of the ocean waves from one of our Nags Head vacations, repeated and overlapped it a dozens of times. Added a short electric piano vamp, doubled and overlapped that, with cathedral reverb, and Voila! A waking dreamscape of an endless shining sea!
